Exotic beads from around the world…

Last week I was asked where all of my beads come from… Well, in response I thought I would share with you all in this posting, exactly my few notes on beading and where all of my beads come from.
You see, my beads come from all over the world. A few countries to note are: Italy, Rarotonga, Cambodia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Africa.
I choose to have such a wide range of beads, from every country of the world because I like to think that it gives my beaded work culture and character, as seen in many of my jewelry sets and earring designs.
A few of my favorite beads to use are… Moonstone, Ruby and Pearl. As you can see through out my work. I like to use stones that are exotic and not seen every day. Color, character, culture and quality is my objective.
Dakota Rico.
Bisous from Rawheenipha Phudchu…

I am Rawheenipha Phudchu, the model and chronic Champagne consumer behind various photographs of Dakota’s jewelry collection. It was to say the least, an absolute pleasure. I have had the pleasure of being in other photographs, but these photographs were spontaneous and artistic. Admittedly, my inner cliptomania was evoked when I walked into Dakota’s studio, surrounded by his jewelry. I could have ran with the entire collection. I love the pearls especially and the ornate silver bangles. I felt like Marie Antoinette, choked to the brim with exotic gem stones and beautiful beads. When Dakota asked me to write a brief note for his design blog, I said yes, absolutely. I’m in love. Dakota is such an interesting person. After our photography sessions we shared a rather French style dinner over Champagne, and I thrived over his art collection. Dakota’s apartment walls are just gorgeous, heavily decorated with all of his art work. So on the short note, it was an absolute pleasure. Most definitely looking forward to up and coming designs. Bisous to Rico. R. XX
